How Do I Choose the Best Jerk Marinade

    This is a quick video of my homemade Jerk Marinade. I am not jamaican but I do have a Caribbean background ,so this is my rendition of the marinade. below you can find all the ingredients needed to make this ! have fun and Make it with your Family!!!

    5 garlic Cloves
    a handful of FRESH thyme
    a small piece of fresh ginger root
    a bale Green Onions (scallions)
    A handful of cilantro
    A handful of parsley
    2 Habanero Peppers ( or any type of pepper you’d like to use)
    1/4 cup of water
    1-2 tablespoons of Brown sugar
    2 tablespoons of mixed herbs (from the container)
    2 tablespoons of Browning sauce (or as needed for color)
    3 tablespoons of white vinegar
    3 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    2 tablespoons of Peppercorn
    1 tablespoon of black pepper

    squeeze one lemon juice in the container to preserve the marinade for up to 6 month!!!

    You’ll need:

    3 scotch bonnet peppers
    1/2 Medium white onion
    1 Head Garlic
    8 Pimento Seeds
    2 Stalks green onion
    1 Tsp mixed spice ( consist of cinnamon, nutmeg & cloves )
    1/2 Tsp black pepper
    1 1/2 Tbsps oyster sauce
    1/2 Tbsp soya/ soy sauce
    1 Tbsp Browning or meat caramel
    1 Tbsp ketchup
    2 Tbsp Dried thyme or 2 stalks fresh
    1/4 Cup oil to help with the blending

  3. Jerk Marinade
    Ingredients :
    8 oz escallion
    1 bottle red stripe beer
    1 tbsp cinnamon
    1 tbsp brown sugar
    4 ripe scotch bonnet peppers
    4 large sprigs of green thyme
    1 tbsp pimento seeds
    1 tbsp whole cloves
    dash of worechestershire sauce
    2 tbsp white vineagar
    1 tsp cayenne pepper
    7 large cloves of garlic
    1 oz fresh ginger

    Note :
    Should yield about 2 1/2 cups and enough to marinade 5-6 lbs of chicken.
