How Do I Choose the Best Portobello Marinade

    Delicious Grilled Marinated Portobello Mushroom Burgers with Asparagus

    What an incredibly delicious burger!!! These marinated grilled portobella mushroom burgers along with marinated asparagus cooked on the grill turned out to be one of the best I’ve had!!! Certainly a must try and truly the best portobella mushrooms I’ve had!


    1. 3-4 Large portobella mushrooms

    Portobella mushroom marinade:

    1. 1/3 cup olive oil or any oil you prefer

    2. 3 Tbs Balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar

    3. 1/2 Tsp Pink Himalayan sea salt

    4. 1/2 Tsp Black pepper

    5. 1/2 Tsp Ancho chili pepper powder

    Marinade for asparagus:

    1. 1 bunch of asparagus

    2. 2 Tbs olive oil

    3. 1 Tsp pink Himalayan sea salt

    4. 1 Tsp black pepper

    Directions for Portobello mushrooms

    Pop off stem on mushroom and Wash mushrooms very well.

    Mix all ingredients for portobella mushrooms marinade in a bowl and roll portobella mushrooms around in marinade to coat both side really well then put them in a zip lock bag and seal them shut and let marinade for 10 – 15 min. you can put them in the fridge or just leave them out till ready to cook.

    Directions for Asparagus:

    Snap asparagus at weak spot the top half is the tender part. Do that with each piece or use one as a guide to cut all the rest to the same size. Mix all ingredients for asparagus marinade in zip lock bag and put asparagus in bag with marinade and swoosh around to get all covered and let sit for 10 – 15 min. before cooking.

    Cooking directions:

    Place on grill about a medium High heat.
    Place portobella mushrooms stem side down and place asparagus on the grill. Brush leftover marinade on mushrooms and asparagus. Cook mushrooms and asparagus for approximately 5 mins on each side. Turn portobella mushrooms over when they start to flatten out and are soft. Cook on other side for 5 min you can tell when there done when they are soft and a knife easily cuts into them. Turn asparagus at about 5 mins you will be able to tell they are done when they are soft and appear to be cooked to your liking. Take everything off the grill when done to your liking and fix anyway you will enjoy them.
